# Bring a landscape proposal into view

A landscape plan asks a homeowner to imagine a lot from a drawing. A video can walk them through it, connecting each proposed space to the work in the quote. Use the approved plan and label concepts as concepts.

## Build up the plan, one area at a time

Begin with existing conditions, then introduce paths, outdoor living areas, and planting zones one at a time. Connect each area to the work included in the proposal. Follow with the planned construction sequence and a clear explanation of any separately agreed maintenance. Label a proposed design as a concept so the viewer does not mistake it for completed work.

## What to bring to the brief

Start with the approved site plan, project images, agreed work and planned construction sequence.

Check the example against the service you offer, including any separately agreed work. Review the sequence in simple sketches before choosing the final animation.

## Where the video can help

Show it during design review and ask which choices still need approval. Keep each version tied to the matching plan so everyone discusses the same proposal. A beautiful rendering can create extra expectations if it doesn't clearly distinguish agreed work from ideas still being considered.

## Example: a landscape design process, explained

Our Isometric style example follows ExtraScapes, a landscape designer in Albuquerque, from a bare backyard to a finished plan: a discovery call, an on-site consultation with drone imaging, a custom 3D design you can walk through, revisions, and final plans with an estimate that is price-locked to the approved design.
