Planning a product video for Amazon

Keep the model, accessories and claims in your video consistent with the item the customer can buy.

An Amazon product video can answer a buyer’s question at the point of purchase. Show how one model works and which need it suits. Keep accessories, labels and demonstrated features consistent with the item they can order. The film can then support a confident choice and set realistic expectations.

Answer one important question

Choose the main point of uncertainty: how two versions differ, what comes in the box, or how a feature works. Resolve that question before adding secondary claims. Leave secondary selling points for the written description.

Consider a fictional kitchen appliance offered with two accessory packages. Show the base unit and the parts included in each package from the same viewpoint. Label the packages clearly. The buyer can then compare them without reconstructing the contents from unrelated shots.

Match the product information

Use current images and confirmed information. Distinguish optional accessories immediately. An appealing use scene should not imply a capability the product does not have. Include ratings, awards, or result claims only when their meaning and permitted use are established.

Product animation can explain relationships that are difficult to see, but it still needs to match the actual model. Consistent views may communicate a comparison better than a rapid sequence of dramatic angles.

Confirm the destination before export

Identify the exact intended placement. Check the current requirements and availability of that Amazon publishing route in the account being used. You can prepare the story in the meantime: name the model, show the feature and point to the relevant product information.

Test the draft with an unfamiliar viewer

Ask which model they saw, which accessories are included, and what function was explained. Each incorrect answer points to a specific revision. Check the same questions without audio so essential information is not carried only by narration.
