Show supporters what their contribution supports
Connect a documented problem with the organization's real activities and distinguish plans from demonstrated outcomes.

Supporters want to understand what an organization does with their help. Show the real program, the people responsible and how resources are used. You don't need an invented success story to explain meaningful work.

Follow the program's actual work
Begin with a documented starting point. Show actual activities, responsible roles, and the supported explanation of how resources are used. Distinguish a planned activity from an outcome that has already been demonstrated. Represent participants respectfully rather than using them as decorative evidence of impact.
Before writing the script
Bring approved program information, details of how funds are used and the permissions for any participant images.
Check which terms your audience already knows and who will update the film when the program or process changes. Use clearly fictional people and records in examples.

Check what people take away
Put it on the program or campaign page. Ask which activity a contribution supports and how someone could understand its progress. If viewers remember only a positive feeling, show the work more clearly. Link to the underlying information and the real ways they can take part.
