Help members use the benefits they've joined for

Show where members access a few real services, including conditions that differ by membership type.

A benefit on a membership list is only useful when someone knows how to access it. Choose a few real services and show members where to begin. They can explore the rest once those first steps make sense.

Give each benefit a starting point

Choose three actual benefits with distinct access paths, such as a resource, a contact service, and an event. Show where the member begins and what happens next. Use the organization's real terminology and identify relevant conditions. Do not imply that every benefit is available in the same way to every membership type.

Before writing the script

Use the actual benefits, enrollment process and portal screens, along with the organization's approved positions.

Check which terms your audience already knows and who will update the film when the program or process changes. Use clearly fictional people and records in examples.

Check what people take away

Share it with new members. Ask how they'd access one of the services. If they know its name but can't find where to start, improve that step. Keep the clips easy to update when a benefit changes so the welcome stays useful beyond the first viewing.
