What is the difference between crop and fit?

Crop fills the output frame and cuts off the edges that do not fit. Fit shows the whole picture and adds empty space where the shapes differ.

Which files can I use?

Support depends on the codecs inside a file and your browser, not just its MP4, MOV or WebM extension. Unsupported files are rejected with an explanation. Sources can be up to 10 minutes long, with a pixel count up to 3840 × 2160 and no edge over 4096 pixels. Audio must be mono or stereo.

What are the export limits?

Open up to 8 files including music, totaling no more than 200 MiB. The edited sequence can be up to 2 minutes long. Video exports use 30 frames per second and 1280 × 720, 720 × 1280 or 720 × 720 pixels. MP4 and WebM availability depends on your browser’s codec support. Exports are limited to 100 MiB. Larger tasks can reach your device’s memory limits.

How it works

Open your video and choose landscape, portrait or square.
Select the clip and choose crop to fill the frame.
Check the framing across your clip, then export and download.

A centered crop removes edges that fall outside the chosen shape. This can turn a landscape clip into a portrait or square video when the subject stays in the center. Use fit instead if the whole picture needs to remain visible.

Good to know

Cropping is centered. There are no draggable crop boundaries, subject tracking or arbitrary crop positions. Check moving subjects throughout the clip.

Your original files stay unchanged. Download your result before closing or reloading the page; your project is not saved.
