Make outsourced work easier to follow
Two visual lanes can show what the client sends, what the provider does and what comes back when a task is complete.

When work moves outside a company, buyers want to know what they send and what they get back. Use one representative task to show both sides of the relationship, including what happens when information is missing.

Use a client lane and a provider lane
Follow a fictional item from submission through processing, questions, and delivery. Show an incomplete submission as a short branch so the viewer understands where clarification is needed. Identify the actual output and the person responsible for the next action. Avoid suggesting that every request moves through without review or client involvement.
Prepare the example
Start with real workflows, anonymized documents and the services covered by the contract.
Have the responsible specialist review the words and pictures together. Even a check mark can imply a decision that has not been made.

Check it with someone new to the service
Use it in sales conversations and before implementation. Ask a new contact what they supply and what comes back. Check that the answer matches the contract. Keep integration claims and service commitments specific to the offer, giving both teams something concrete to discuss before work starts.
