What happens after an IT support request?

Explain the contact channel, ticket updates and service boundaries using an ordinary request that clients can recognize.

“We take care of IT” leaves a lot unsaid. Clients still need to know how to ask for help, what their agreement covers and how they'll hear back. One ordinary support ticket can make that much easier to understand.

Follow a support ticket

Show the approved contact channel, ticket review, assignment, and an update to the client. Introduce an out-of-scope request as a separate discussion when that reflects the agreement. Use demonstration screens and avoid exposing customer access details or internal system information. The example should show the relationship, not a universal technical solution.

Prepare the example

Use your service catalog, an abstract system diagram and the support process clients actually follow.

Have the responsible specialist review the words and pictures together. Even a check mark can imply a decision that has not been made.

Check it with someone new to the service

Share it with new clients and alongside the relevant service offer. Ask what updates they expect and where that expectation comes from in the agreement. If a generic animation suggests continuous coverage, change the wording. Availability and response commitments need to match the actual contract.
