What does an explainer video cost?
Compare what’s included in a quote, from the script and voiceover to revisions and different versions.

Two one-minute films can involve very different work. One may use a finished script and existing graphics; another needs a new story, custom characters and several languages. To compare prices, first check what each quote actually includes.

What’s included?
Start with concept and script development. Does the provider shape the message, or do you supply a finished script? Next, review design and animation. Existing assets, custom illustration, and accurate product visualization create different production requirements.
Voice recording, music, captions, and output versions also matter. Ask how revisions are defined and which stages are reviewed. Usage rights, source files, and future updates should be described explicitly. A package name does not establish those terms on its own.
A simple comparison example
Here is a made-up budgeting illustration, not a market benchmark or a Capri Video quote. Provider A lists $800 for a film, captions, and two output formats. Provider B lists $650, then adds $100 for captions and $150 for the second format. For this assumed deliverable list, B totals $900.
That calculation does not establish which provider offers better value. Design quality, communication, and the final work may differ. It shows why an entry price is not a complete comparison. Give each provider the same deliverable list so you can compare both scope and approach.

Keep the project focused
Reduce the number of messages and versions before stripping away the explanation the viewer needs. A film answering one question is easier to define than a combined company introduction, product demo, and training module. Supply approved materials early and consolidate feedback through one decision-maker.
Ask about review points before detailed animation begins. Changing the core story later can affect narration, visual design, timing, and multiple scenes. A clear script and storyboard make those decisions reviewable while the project is still easier to reshape.

What to include in a pricing request
For a useful quote, describe the audience, purpose, approximate length, style, languages, formats, usage and expected revisions. Identify the essential deliverables and distinguish them from optional versions.
