Prepare people for the insurance conversation
Walk through the information-gathering process while leaving policy recommendations to the review of individual circumstances.

Example: an independent insurance agency, explained
Our Geometric Figures style example pictures shopping for insurance as being lost at sea. Squires Insurance Solutions, an independent agency from Fort Collins and Windsor, is not tied to one company and marks the way to shore in three steps: contact, a quote review call and easy onboarding, with a licensed agent and a personal service rep afterwards.
Before talking about a policy, a prospect may simply want to know how an appointment works. Explain what your agency asks for and where the conversation goes next. Keep recommendations out of this general introduction.

Leave room for the actual discussion
Follow a fictional customer through the actual intake steps. Use sample documents and show where questions about needs or existing arrangements are discussed. If options appear, present them as subjects for review rather than a universal ranking. End with the next agreed conversation, not an automatic image of the perfect policy.
Prepare the example
Use your approved intake process, service description and reviewed product information.
Have the responsible specialist review the words and pictures together. Even a check mark can imply a decision that has not been made.

Check it with someone new to the service
Use it before appointments and beside service information. Ask what someone would prepare and which decisions are still open. If the introduction looks like a completed recommendation, change it. Coverage and policy suitability need to be discussed against the customer's circumstances and the options actually available.
