Make it clear when an app booking is confirmed

Follow one user role through request, response and confirmation, with payment kept separate where the product requires it.

A booking app can look easy to use and still leave people unsure whether they've sent a request or secured a place. Follow one user journey and make those states visible, including any response that's still needed.

Name each booking state

Follow a demo user through confirmed product steps. Label each participant and keep the current status visible. If another person still needs to respond, do not end the sequence with an image of a final confirmation. Payment status and booking status should remain distinct when the product treats them separately.

Prepare a consistent demo

Prepare current demo screens, user roles, the actual booking process and its approved terms.

Use fictional demo data and record the screens and product version shown. Check who acts in each scene and what the screen actually confirms.

Try it before the next demo

Put it on the entry page or in the relevant help flow. Ask what's confirmed at the end and who acts next. That's more revealing than hearing that the app looks easy. A clear answer helps people approach the next step with accurate expectations about the service.
