How it works
- Choose your PDF and the page to sign.
- Choose Signature, type your name and click to place it, or use Draw for a handwritten mark.
- Download your PDF with the visible signature.
Place your name on a document before returning it
When the recipient accepts a typed name, you can add yours to a plain PDF without printing it. Choose a position near the signature area and check the preview carefully. Ask the recipient which signing method they require before using the result.
Common questions
- Can I draw or upload my handwritten signature?
- You can use Draw to make a handwritten mark directly on the page, or Signature to place your typed name in italic text. Both can be moved in the editor. Uploading a signature image is not supported.
- Does this create a certificate-based digital signature?
- No. It adds a visible mark to the document. It does not verify identity, create a signing certificate, provide an audit trail or send signature requests to other people.
- Can I sign an interactive PDF form?
- Yes, for supported forms. Open one PDF, use Fill form to complete its text fields and checkboxes, then Signature or Draw to add a visible mark. The download keeps the form fields interactive. This does not apply a digital signature to a signature field. Encrypted or already digitally signed documents are unsupported.
